Participants are provided with opportunities to grow deeper in their love for Jesus Christ through the knowledge of His Word and Church.

Volunteer catechists provide weekly religious education sessions for parish youth in grades 1-6 who do not attend Holy Name Catholic School.  Catechists with 2nd grade students also conduct special sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion.  Volunteers provide the opportunity for students to learn about God and deepen their faith. Note:  Any person 16 years of age or older wishing to volunteer must complete the Diocesan VIRTUS training, to help ensure the protection of our children.

CYM Leaders will catechize and coordinate activities that encourage young people in grades 7-12 to:
*Live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today
*Participate in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community
*Grow personally and spiritually in their faith

CYM Leaders are needed for both the middle school (grades 7-8) and high school (grades 9-12) groups.  Note:  Any person 16 years of age or older wishing to volunteer must complete the Diocesan VIRTUS training, to help ensure the protection of our children.


   

Young people of middle school or high school age wishing to grow personally and spiritually by participating in activities that challenge them to become disciples.  Middle school and high school students are separated into two distinct groups for CYM meetings. Middle school CYM is for grades 7-8.  High school CYM is for grades 9-12.

Assist young adults to continue to live their Catholic faith during their college years.  Members will welcome a Southwestern or Cowley College student to our parish by inviting them to parish events, Mass, and dinners with ministry members.  Hosting students periodically for a brunch following a Sunday 10:30 a.m. Mass is another activity.

This is a marriage enrichment ministry that seeks to join couples into small groups (4-5 couples) that eat, pray, and socialize together in an intentional way (once a month or every other month).  There has been one group active in our parish.  Please contact the parish office if you are interested in joining or forming a new group.

Women's Bible Study is for women who want to grow emotionally and spiritually in their faith.  The location will rotate to different member's homes.

 

Provide support for the parish summer Totus Tuus program.  Coordinate snacks, clean the kitchen, sweep after breaks, and provide other assistance as needed. Note:  Any person 16 years of age or older wishing to volunteer must complete the Diocesan VIRTUS training, to help ensure the protection of our children.

Assist the OCIA process by providing refreshments, babysitting, or Breaking Open the Word following the Liturgy of the Word at Mass.
