Bring the love of Jesus Christ to the men who are incarcerated at Winfield Correctional Facility.  Must be willing to be trained as a volunteer for the Department of Corrections.

Assist in the delivery of food donations to the community food bank.  Food items are collected the second Sunday of every month from the parish. 

Volunteers are responsible for the cleaning and care of the church and adoration chapel.  Cleaning volunteers are put into groups that each clean the church once per month. Cleaning is typically done on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings.

Wash, iron, and fold items used during the Mass, such as corporals, purificators, towels, and server albs.

Lawn mowing, edging, and general landscape maintenance for church, rectory, school, and parish hall.

As needed, snow and ice removal from walkways and parking areas. The church has a snow blower and shovels for use on smaller areas, but for the parking areas an individual with a plow would be helpful.

Garden angels maintain the flower beds around the church, rectory, school, and parish hall.  This includes planting, weeding, and watering during spring, summer, and early fall.

There are many events throughout the year that need volunteers to help set up and take down tables and chairs, and occasional decorations.

Provide transportation to those unable to transport themselves to Mass or other parish activities. 

Volunteers for this ministry are professionals in the areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or painting who are willing to assist the parish with needs in these areas as they arise.

In the absence of the parish secretary, volunteers will answer the telephone and perform any other office duties such as data entry, making copies, inserting fliers in bulletin, etc.

The church historian is responsible for keeping accurate and comprehensive records of the parish and its activities, so that heritage will be preserved and can be built upon into the future.

Members of this committee study the social teachings of the Church and promote them in the parish.  They could sponsor and organize various activities to uphold the life and promote the well-being of all people.  

Assist the diocesan office of the Ministry with Persons with Disabilities to help keep all parishioners actively involved regardless of type, severity, or age of onset of a disability.

Assist Holy Name Catholic School teachers in the classroom, become a tutor, or assist the technology advisor regarding computer software/hardware.  Note:  Any person 16 years of age or older wishing to volunteer must complete the Diocesan VIRTUS training, to help ensure the protection of our children.

Serve breakfast and/or lunch to the Holy Name Catholic School students during the school year.  Note:  Any person 16 years of age or older wishing to volunteer must complete the Diocesan VIRTUS training, to help ensure the protection of our children.

All parents of school children are members of the PTO.  School parents can volunteer to run for elected PTO offices.  The PTO meets monthly throughout the school year to gather input from and communicate information to parents and school faculty.  PTO organizes fundraisers to help support Holy Name Catholic School.
